چکیده
Nos anos 1990 a disparidade no orçamento entre os times da Major League Baseball (MLB) causou uma queda competitividade na liga, tornando o uso de modelos estatísticos dados saída para clubes com menor orçamento. O objetivo deste artigo é aplicar metodologias mineração dados, utilizando bases MLB 1871 2019, entender quais são as estatísticas relevantes dentro do esporte e como elas se comportam ao longo tempo. Neste foram testados utilizados pelo Oakland Athletics, primeiro clube utilizar aumentar competitividade, movimento conhecido Moneyball. Modelos regressão determinar importâncias novas On Base Percentage (OBP) Plus Slugging (OPS).
